Important: this article is only applicable to Travel Agency Managers.
We know that it's hugely important that you're able to check the amount of commission your agents receive for their bookings.
That's why every month Expedia TAAP provides you with a statement of your agency earnings. This statement will provide itinerary-level details for all your agents' bookings that have been recently consumed, including where we will pay you compensation. This is called the Commission Statement which you can easily access by logging into your Expedia TAAP account and following the steps below.
- Click 'Commission Statements'
From the "TAAP Menu" dropdown, select "Commission Statements" - Select your dates You will then need to select the year (in green below) of commission statements that you wish to review. By default, the page will load to the most recent year.
Once you've selected the year, the page will refresh and display all statements generated for each month in that year where your agency qualified for a commission payment. - View your commission statements
You can now click on the "View" button to see the statement for the month you are interested in.
This will open a new page that will show the commission statement for the month you selected. Each row provides transaction details such as booked, modified, or canceled, along with the associated commission earned (as shown below).
You will then have the option to download the statement in PDF format or as an Excel spreadsheet by clicking the respective button (highlighted in green below). - View unpaid commission reports
If there is no commission being paid in a particular month then there won't be a published statement available. This could be due to a missing tax form, an incomplete payment profile, or earnings below the payment threshold.
Instead, you can download the "Unpaid Commission Report" in an excel format.
This report will give you details on the transactions that earned commission along with a reason for why it was not paid out that month.
Note: the monthly Commission Statement is published on a monthly basis, usually within the first 10 business days. This captures the commission that will be paid out that same month.
